Gaussian line fitting: oversampling the plot
Hi,
When fitting a Gaussian line to a spectrum, the overplotted fit (dashed line in the attached figure) is sampled at the same pixel scale as the original spectrum. It would be good to plot a fit with an oversampling factor of ~ 10 or so to get a smoother curve on spectral lines.
This factor of 10 could be default, or adjustable by the user. Since it is only to make a plot it should not take computing time.
